Welcome to our travelogues. Although we've both been on several trips, this page is dedicated to the more "adventurous" ones. So far, it's only Eric's bicycle trips. (Bicycle touring is a unique, adventurous and fulfilling way to see countries and cultures. But it's not without its challenges.)

  • Togo and Benin  ( 16 items )

In December 2008 Eric rejoined David Mozer (of ibike.org fame), Il Kim (professional student) and other intrepid travellers for two weeks of cycling in the small West African countries of Benin and Togo.

  • Cameroon: Country of Contrasts  ( 21 items )

In November 2007 we joined David Mozer (founder of Bicycle Africa) and Il Kim (professional student) on a two week bicycle tour through Southwest/Western Cameroon. We encountered steep climbs, exhilarating descents, some brutal roads, and many people calling out, "du courage!" throughout the course of the day. We hope you enjoy our journey — we sure did!

  • Cycling the Islands  ( 10 items )

During the last week of June 2007 we flew to PEI for a week's worth of puttering and camping around PEI and the Magdalen Islands (les «Iles de la Madeleine» si vous parlez francais) on rented bicycles. Situated about 135 km north of PEI, these small islands are rich with French culture and some of the most amazing maritime scenery in Canada.

  • Bicycling Atlantic Canada  ( 32 items )

On June 8th, 2000 Eric left for a month and traveled 2500 km through the Atlantic provinces.

  • Uganda: Pearl of Africa  ( 15 items )

In January of 1999 Eric spent two weeks on a self-supported bicycle tour with five other people in Uganda. This is his story.
