 No.3  Losing Sense of Taste
I just started smoking a pipe. I wish I had done so years ago as it's quite pleasurable. I took it up solo, which is to say I started on a lark and without any guidance from anyone. Anyway, my tongue seems to have lost a lot of sensation for the taste of salt. I did get severe tongue-bite when I first started about a month ago. What I want to know is if this is normal and should I be worried about anything?

 No.2  Re: My tongue
Just rediscovered the joy of pipe smoking again, but forgot how much my tongue is burning even when puffing slowly and lightly. Any suggestions for remedy?

I'm pretty new to smoking, but you could try a pipe with a longer stem and/or a smaller hole (or bore, or whatever it's called).
